This is mounted in my 2007 Tacoma with a bestop cover, I love this thing! It holds all my tie downs and hitch accessories perfectly. I have a leatherman, sharpie, pens, trailer light adapter, hitch pin and light work gloves in the little bin on top and use it all the time! Everyone that sees it wants one. It installed in a couple minutes and is very sturdy, I am very happy with this purchase!

I ordered this after reading online instructions thinking it may not work well w/ my 2011 Tacoma. Was greatly surprised and pleased when the one I actually received was not the same as the online instructions but appeared to be designed for the 2011 Tacoma using the Tacoma mounting screws. Took me all of 5 minutes to install. Took longer to get the few tools out that are needed and then put them away. I immediately ordered the passenger side box.

Storage box is a nice and convenient feature; however, the mounting leaves a little to be desired. For my 2011 Chevy Silverado, I had to customize the fitup. It's as though I was sent the wrong box for my model truck. However, I made it work and it operates just fine. It just sets back a little further into the bed than the other side. It would be a nice addition to add some way to rustproof the screw holes, e.g., maybe add an adhesive onto threads so when using self drilling, self taping screws it will seal to the metal and inhibit rusting in the future.
