Purchased this for my 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 MegaCab. I recently installed a 5th wheel hitch and wanted something to proectect the bed. I removed the hitch, installed the mat and then cut sections out where the hitch connects to the rails. Leaving the sections folded back, I'm able to install the hitch and pins without any issues. Room for hitch lock pins, etc. The hitch is a slider, and it slides fine with the mat over the rails. I'm really happy with how it turned out. If it did not have the hitch, the mat would have been even better. I ended up buying the tailgate mat as well, but waiting to install it.
If you need a mat, don't hesitate with this one. It's heavy duty and has good grips on the underside. The top side is "grippy" so that items don't move around when in the bed. |
