Tradesman TAL21TTB 21-Inch Aluminum Trailer Tongue Tool Box

Unfortunately, my box arrived damaged and have since returned it. I was not interested in a replacement for the simple reason the gauge aluminum is not adequate. My guess, 1/16" thick. Too bad because everything else about the box is top notch including gas lift, leak proof box, beveled lid design, and a box that can be installed flush to my trailer. Why they chose to skimp on the material to compromise this box is beyond me. See other boxes on Amazon, the 'weight item' would be a good indication on the thickness and quality of the box - the extra $50-75 is money well spent.

Box looks just like the photo. I was surprised how light it is, but I guess I should not have been since the box is only .60 of an inch thin. You cannot go wrong picking this item.

Whoever put this box together cared about what he/she was doing. I shopped for a quite a few different boxes. They all had a common trend. Cut as many corners as possible to reduce the cost margin. This box has a complete weld along all seams and corners. It is incredibly light, has a good quality lock and the hydraulic cover lift is a nice little bonus. My only complaint is that it came with mounting holes. Although I appreciate the thought, I'll have to drill different holes and seal these two to mount it properly to my tongue. Very minor problem. Had the box came with a solid bottom (no holes) I would've given it five stars. Overall, fantastic craftsmanship.
