This model ShurTrax is 56 x 48 x 3 with 40 between wheel wells and is designed to fit compact size pickup trucks with short or long beds like: - Chevrolet Colorado - Chevrolet S-10 - Dodge Dakota - Ford Ranger - GMC Canyon - GMC Sonoma - Isuzu pickup - Mazda pickup - Nissan Frontier - Toyota Tacoma When filled to three inches with water from your garden hose this model adds 300# handling and traction weight right over your rear axle, where needed most. Four point grommet tie-down points allow for safe, secure weight that improves vehicle balance, handling, cornering and traction on wet, slippery roads. ShurTrax answers the safety concerns of alternative sources of weight such as sandbags, concrete blocks, cord wood and other potential projectiles. Fill fitting included. No need to worry about carrying cargo on top of ShurTrax, it has been tested to support 500#. Baffles are die-electrically welded into place to prevent surging during cornering. ShurTrax integrity is protected by a super tough 25 mil vinyl outer chamber. This outer chamber vinyl is UV resistant and reinforced with woven nylon mesh for long service. Comment: Product actually works exactly as it's supposed to. Those that do not understand how to properly hook up their garden hose to this apparatus are absolutely idiotic. This product works great, and is easy to use. Enough said.

Comment: Works as designed. I could tell the difference in the handling in my 2004 Chevy Colorado. The bag was easy to fill and even easier to empty. I will use this rather than concrete blocks during the cold months.

Summary: Awesome Traction Aid 2007-03-14
Comment: This was easy to install in the truck when I received it in the fall and it seems to be very well made. We did not receive a lot of snow this year to do a lot of testing but I did notice the difference in handling in snow, wet, and ice cover roads. This product allowed me to shut my four wheel drive off in all conditions, which I could not do before buying the ShurTrax. I will be buying another one for my car before next winter comes.
