Comment: I bought these instead of GM stock rails because of their higher tie-down strength, better asthetics, and lower price. And I'm glad I did so.

The rail arrived in a sturdy box with plenty of protection. Installation was a piece of cake. All you need is an Allen wrench of the right size. I did the whole thing in about 15 min. There is also a video instruction on youtube if you prefer not to read the booklet.

The polished stainless steel feels very sturdy, and looks great. It provides a perfect grab for climbing into the truck bed in any directions. I've got many compliments on it since I got it two weeks ago.

Comment: I've had these rails for the past year and they're great. I haul my motorcycle frequently and use the rails as tie-down anchors. I ride a Yamaha 250 so it's not a heavy bike, I would be hesitant to anchor anything heavier to the rails, but for my situation they work well. If I have a pickup-box load of stuff that needs tied down it makes quick work as the rails can be accessed while I'm standing on the ground -- no need to crawl around in the box while searching for a place to hook the straps.

The "post-holes" that are typically placed on the corners of the pickup-box work OK on their own, but these newer pickups are using thinner sheet metal and I've actually seen people bend the metal around those holes because they tightened the straps too much. These rails enable you to avoid that damage -- the way they attach makes it so the weight is distributed evenly through the post-hole, instead of just where the strap's S-hook would normally be attached.

Not only are they very functional, but they look sharp. Install is very easy (no drilling), and they can be taken off just as easily if you want to put on a topper or pickup camper. You wouldn't want them if you're hauling a 5th wheel trailer, not sure if there would be sufficient clearance between the top of the rails and the bottom of the trailer.

Comment: This thing looks great on my truck. Easy to install. Strong. I have found that the slots in the end make a perfect hand hold for climbing into the back of the truck.
