I used this rack to carry my kayak. I like the fact that I can easily remove it when not in use. Rack comes with a good fastening system. It is painted, but the rack is made of aluminum.

Good quality. Ladder rack is aluminum which is painted white from factory. No negatives concerning this product. It does what it is designed to do.

Great rack for kayaks, windsurfers or ladders. Light and seems well built. Only time will tell. I use split pool noodles to pad the racks since they have no padding. It's nice to be able to remove the upper part of the rack leaving only the lower tube. Nothing sticking up or in the way when you don't need the rack.
