First the directions state to measure about (good thing this isn't surgery) 2 3/4" from ... Well after making two holes in my car, and after mounting the bottom bracket, I found that 2 3/4" put the bottom bracket into the rear tire. So after drilling two more holes into my car, I finally adjusted the bottom bracket away from the rear tire. Now it's time to put on the upper bracket. Again drilling more holes, but hey this time I left the tire on, and lined everything up prior to drilling. Next, the directions state to drill two 25/64" holes for the anchors. First who uses 25/64" anything? Why not make it easy and go 1/2". Anyway after purchasing a 25/64" drill bit, and after carefully drilling my last two holes, I attach the upper bracket. As I tighten the bolts into the 25/64" anchors, the anchor just spins. So now I have a useless ladder, and 6 25/64" holes in my car. Can't anything be easy?

This rack is 1/3rd the cost of the factory rack and is, in my opinion,
close to the same product. This rack also has a front light bar with four fittings. Easy to install!
