I installed the product per the instructions that came with it and the online videos. The product slipped right off after I attempted to remove the tailgate to my 2009 1500 Silverado. Product did not work as advertised.

Very deceptive product!! The packaging even states that this will fit all trucks and mini pickup truck tailgates.
I purchased this lock for a 2012 Toyota Tacoma truck. I installed it just like that packaging and website say -
then I go to see if I can remove the tailgate and I CAN remove it by simply moving the lock over and turning it, which
lets the tailgate slip right out from the lock. The lock does NOT tighten or fit snug on the tailgate mount to allow
this product to work better.

Other reviews didn't work, but this lock DOES WORK for F250. It's a little tough to slide on, but I got it.
