I am impressed with the workmanship and ease of assembly of this product.
Yes, I said assembly since there are many parts and nothing is pre-assembled.
When the box arrived, I could tell there was going to be a few hours devoted to the assembly process.
It did indeed take a few hours, considering one has to lay out all the parts and do an inventory before commencing with the overall process. It went rather well (as I'm somewhat mechanical) after assembling and THEN reading the instructions, which is my norm. Only comment there is; they supply EXACTLY enough hardware to do the job, not one piece extra. Considering the cost of the unit and the special screw heads supplied, a little overage would have been a nice gesture . . . just in case.
Fitting the attachment clips to the p/u bed took almost as long as the whole assembly as it has to be fairly precise. I opted for the extra kit which has the release clips allowing for easy removal of the unit as needed. The...Read more
