This review is from: Bestop 42640-01 Under Seat Lock Box for Jeep JK (Automotive) Normally product discriptions overly exaggerate the product. Not in this case. I truly feel that Amazons description of this product does not convey it's quality. It is much better built than described. I bought this item on 11-10 it was shipped on 11-11 and I received it on 11-14. I immediately installed it without problem in about 15 minutes. I have been using it for just over two weeks and I love it. It's an absolute must have for the soft top Jeep owner or as in my case the Jeep owner that frequently goes sans doors and hard top. I challenge anyone to find or design a more practical product of it's kind. If you are a Jeep owner that is looking for a way to protect items in something a little less obvious and a lot more secure than the OEM glove compartment or center console, this is it. I strongly believe that if you purchase this product you will not be disappointed. NOTE: This is the first time I have ever written a review for any product. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Todd A. It has plenty of room for the things that I want secured and feel very comfortable running with doors off, top down and my stuff will be safe. I wish they had one for the passenger side! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bestop 42640-01 Under Seat Lock Box for Jeep JK (Automotive) I just installed this unit in my 2011 JKU Sport. The instructions from Bestop only have 4 steps. In my case I had an additional step not listed. When I got to step 3 I ran into an issue. There is a metal bracket attached to the seat rail that has two wire harnesses attached. I had to remove the two screws holding the bracket, remove the plastic clips for the harnesses and wire tie them to a bracket on the opposite seat rail. Once I had this moved the Lock Box slid right in. I was back on track. The product is superior and the instructions in most cases are more than adequate. |
